Back when I was a college DJ I really got into rockabilly and old country so honkey tonk was a natural progression and who better then DWIGHT!
FIRST DY CONCERT:
The first time I saw DWIGHT was about nine years ago at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego. I was really into acoustic.net at the time (it had just been released) and was astonished at what an amazing show DWIGHT put on.....I've been to every DWIGHT show that I could make regionally since then!
FAVORITE DY ALBUM AND/OR SONG:
I'm going to have to go with acoustic.net. There is something magical about that record. I couldn't live without it...Favorite Song...now that's much harder but "Two Doors Down" has to be at the top.
FAVORITE DY MOVIE ROLE:
Sling Blade -- Doyle is a hoot!
LAST TIME YOU'VE SEEN DY IN CONCERT:
This past New Years Eve at the Crystal Palace - best damn NYE of my life!
HOW DWIGHT HAS AFFECTED YOUR LIFE:
Just being a DWIGHT fan has connected me with so many good people in my life. I met a good friend many years ago while standing in line for DWIGHT tickets and I met my current boyfriend about 4 years ago at a bar when DWIGHT came on the TV and me and my girlfriend asked the bartender to "turn it up"! We immediately started talking about how great DWIGHT and his music are and the rest is history!
ANYTHING ELSE TO ADD:
DWIGHT's music is part of who I am and no matter what the mood DWIGHT can always be on my turntable and bring a smile to my face. Funny would have to be about 2 years ago when my girlfriend and I were hanging out at my house catching up and DWIGHT came on the local radio (that never happens) and I jumped off the couch to "Turn It Up" and broke my ankle! I was in a cast and on crutches all summer just because they played DWIGHT on the radio!
