We're excited that Dwight will join Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood and Sugarland as performers at this summer's CMA Music Festival.
This is a special homecoming for Dwight, who hasn't performed at the Festival since 1988.

Other announced acts include Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Josh Turner, Rodney Atkins, Kellie Pickler and Lady Antebellum. Jewel is also on the lineup. She's playing the festival for the first time. The four-day festival runs from June 5th through June 8 in downtown Nashville. Last year's event drew 191,000 people over four days.

Dwight was inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame during a ceremony in Lexington on February 28, 2008. It was an amazing ceremony that touched Dwight most personally. He was joined in the induction with, among others, Crystal Gayle and Norro Wilson.

Dwight is kicking off 2008 in high gear. He has been named Great American Country (GAC) TV's "Artist Of The Month" for February 2008 and is taping a special Top 20 Countdown for CMT with Vince Vaughn. Yoakam has also announced an appearance at the 2nd annual Stagecoach Festival in Indio, CA this May. His performance is in support of his critically acclaimed new album Dwight Sings Buck which was chosen as one of the TOP 50 ALBUMS OF 2007 in both the critic and reader polls in No Depression and is in the TOP 20 ALBUMS OF 2007 in the Montreal Gazette.! The album, which Yoakam recorded in tribute of his friend and mentor Buck Owens, was also honored as the No 6 album on AMAZON'S TOP COUNTRY ALBUMS of 2007 list.

As February's "Artist Of The Month" GAC will honor Yoakam, his career, and DWIGHT SINGS BUCK, with ads and promotional spots on GAC and www.gactv.com, a sweepstakes giving lucky winners the chance to see Dwight at California's Stagecoach Festival, and an in-store promotion at FYE retail stores.

Here's a holiday gift for 2008!! Tim McGraw and Dwight have never sung together, but they'll act together in the romantic comedy Four Christmases.

Set for release during the holiday season of 2008, the movie stars Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn as a couple who, after years of avoiding their families during the holidays, are forced to visit all four of their divorced parents' homes on Christmas Day.

Dierks Bentley and a bunch of his friends gathered for a pre-Grammy party in February at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood. Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley and Dwight all joined Dierks on stage over the course of the evening.
